Salt Dissolving Under A Microscope Looks Like The Grand Canyon

Signe Emma took the salt from airline food (really the same salt as is on your table, they just use more of it) and took electron micrographs of it.

At the smallest scale, it looks a lot like the Earth does from that very same airline seat.

Also, what’s airline food? Do they still actually serve that? Clearly, blogging does not allow me the $$$ to fly up front where they still care about you. Yet.
